With the slogan ‘Healthy body, beautiful mind, tired body, happy soul, want entertainment’, the Inter-Football Tournament-2025 has started under the initiative of Chhatra Shibir Gorjania Union Organizational Thana Branch.
16 football teams of the union have participated in the football tournament that started at ‘MR Stadium’ in Gorjania Time Bazaar.
In the first match, Barabil Football XI defeated Kajrobil Football Team in a trybreaker and won. On the afternoon of October 18, Gorjania Union Jamaat Ameer Md. Abdus Sattar inaugurated the tournament in a colorful manner. Jamaat leader Forkan Ahmed, Maulana Nabiul Haque, sports enthusiast Lutfur Rahman Azim, Akhtar Hossain, Mohammad Ayash, Nirupam Sharma Mitu, Amar Sharma, Nasir Ullah Sikder, Belal Sikder, former student leader Syed Alam and others were present. The inaugural game was conducted by Milton Dutta, a senior teacher of Gorjania High School. Kamrul Ahsan Sohel and Jahangir Alam were his assistants. Salamat Ullah, president of Gorjania Union Organizational Police Station branch of Chhatra Shibir, said – ‘There is no alternative to sports for a healthy body and a beautiful mind. This tournament has been organized as per the instructions of the Central Chhatra Shibir. Chhatra Shibir is spreading football craze in villages.’
