Bangladesh-Brunei bilateral talks started

Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam have started a bilateral meeting at delegation level. The meeting started at the Prime Minister’s office on Sunday afternoon.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading the Bangladesh delegation in the talks. On the other hand, visiting Brunei Darussalam Sultan Haji Hassanal Balkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah is leading his country’s delegation.
Several issues of bilateral interest including recruitment of manpower from Bangladesh, cooperation in energy and aviation sectors are expected to be discussed in the meeting.
Before the meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Brunei’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Balkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah held a private meeting for some time. Khabar bus
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the Sultan of Brunei with flowers when he arrived at the Prime Minister’s office premises.
After the bilateral meeting, several documents are scheduled to be signed and exchanged between Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam, including three agreements and memorandums of understanding. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Sultan of Brunei will witness the signing ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office.
