Ignoring all the rules and regulations of the administration, an Abul Sawmill (sawmill) has been set up right next to the school without a license. There is anger among the guardians of the high school students and the locals. The establishment of this illegal sawmill without a license will damage the school environment, while the administration will be deprived of revenue.
It is alleged that some unscrupulous officials are cooperating with the mill by taking bribes from the sawmill owner, Abul Mia.
Locals have said that the sawmill owner has started collecting banned wood and illegal wood of the forest department in the dark of night in all corners of the village and ganj.
In this regard, an assistant conservator of forests of the forest department said that he will inform the higher authorities about the matter. They should take immediate action in this regard.
The opening of this mill will destroy the school environment and cut down trees, while the school’s environmental balance will be disturbed. Student guardian Nurul Islam said that the school environment is being destroyed due to this mill.
Student guardian Nizam Uddin said that suddenly a mill has been built next to the school, it has become a cesspool and no one is saying anything.
The guardians of the school students and the local people demanded that a drive be launched against the owner of this illegal mill, Abul Member, and he was arrested through the mobile court.
When I tried to talk to the owner, Abul Member, about the illegal mill, the phone was switched off.
In this regard, the acting headmaster of Paharpur High School, Muhammad Manik Mia, said that he came to me to inaugurate the mill. I told the owner of the mill, Abul Mia, that if there is any problem with the students of the school, a complaint will be filed with the administration to take legal action.
