A human chain has been formed in Durgapur Upazila of Netrokona demanding the arrest and trial of drug dealers, drug users and smugglers to eradicate them.
Human chain was held in the Khiura area of the upazila on Thursday 9 October.
This was organized by the Kullagara Union Branch No. 1 of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party.
Other units of the volunteer team expressed solidarity with this.
While delivering speeches at the human chain, the party leaders said that drugs are a dangerous disease.
Drugs are entering our area through the border area from neighboring India, destroying the youth community in the area.
We are working under the direction of our leader Barrister Kaiser Kamal to protect the youth from the terrible clutches of drugs, to protect the country and society.
To protect youth from drugs, a strong social movement must be built.
They said, “We want to say that there will be no place for drug dealers, drug addicts, and smugglers in Durgapur.”
