A farewell reception was held for Ramu Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Rashedul Islam after he was promoted to the post of Deputy Director of RAJUK. The farewell reception was organized by Ramu Press Club, an organization of working journalists, at the Himchhari auditorium of Ramu Upazila Parishad at 11 am on Sunday (October 5). The program included presentation of a crest of honor to the outgoing UNO, a brief discussion and a special prayer.
Presided over by Ramu Press Club Acting President Kazi Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Rashedul Islam said, serving in Ramu is a memorable chapter in my life. The sincere cooperation of the people, administration and journalist community here has always inspired me. I am proud to be working for the development of Ramu and the welfare of the people. I will fulfill my duties with the love of the people of Ramu in my new workplace, InshaAllah. In their speech, the leaders of the Ramu Press Club praised the UNO’s dedication, honest administrative role and humane behavior and said, Mohammad Rashedul Islam has played an important role in the development of Ramu, maintenance of law and order and establishment of good governance. His cooperative attitude towards the journalist community was commendable. We wish him a successful future. At the end of the ceremony, a special prayer was offered wishing the outgoing UNO good health, long life and continued success.
