1 killed in collision between private car and microbus in Sreemangal
One person was killed in a head-on collision between a private car and a microbus (Noha) in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.
Two more people were seriously injured in the incident. On Wednesday (October 1), at around 6 am, a private car and a microbus (Noha) collided head-on at the Motiganj Lawarkul Bridge in the suburbs, killing a cloth merchant named Abdul Gafur Sheikh (41). He is a resident of Muslimbagh area.
Ajay Singh and Tanvir Hossain Johnny, members of the Sreemangal Businessmen’s Association, were injured.
Firefighter Md. Nazim Uddin of Sreemangal Fire Service said that after receiving information about the accident at 6:08 am, they reached the spot and rescued the injured and brought them to the Sreemangal Upazila Health Complex.
Dr., the on-duty physician at Sreemangal Sadar Hospital, said. Sharmin said that three people were brought to the hospital around 6:30 am. One of them was declared dead.
The injured Ajay Singh (42) and Tanvir Hossain Joni were sent to Moulvibazar and Sylhet for better treatment as their condition was critical.
