The monthly meeting of the Cox’s Bazar District Development Coordination Committee was held on Monday at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdul Mannan, with the participation of officials from the district administration, various government departments, and law enforcement agencies.
He said that everyone will have to work together to make Cox’s Bazar a tourism-friendly city.
In the meeting, he informed about the operation of mobile courts against those who harass tourists including locals, prepare, supply and serve unsafe food.
The Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Mohammad Al Maruf, Additional Superintendent of Police Nazmus Shakib Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Imran Hossain Sajeeb and other concerned persons spoke in the meeting.
The meeting discussed various issues including strengthening security to ensure a smooth and beautiful celebration of the autumn Durga Puja and the immersion ceremony of the devotees, and the development of the salt industry and farming, education, and healthcare.
