Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) is responsible for protecting the southernmost border of the country, especially the Bangladesh-Myanmar international border. The battalion has been performing its duties with efficiency, professionalism and dedication in maintaining law and order, including combating smuggling, drug trafficking, illegal infiltration and inter-state border crimes, which has been appreciated by the people from all walks of life.
In continuation of this, September 27, 2025, from 1500-1530 hrs, Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashikur Rahman, PSC, on the occasion of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja-2025, under the overall guidance of the Teknaf border, provided financial assistance to 73 poor, helpless and distressed Hindus living in the area at the premises of Noapara Government Primary School, which is under the responsibility of Sabrang BOP.
Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) has reiterated its commitment to continue such humanitarian and service activities regularly to improve the quality of life of the people of the border area.
Local sources have confirmed that this great effort of BGB in the border area is playing a significant role in bringing about positive changes in the quality of life of the local people and further strengthening their trust and love for BGB.
