The general meeting of Kushtia Journalists Union (KUJ) has been held. On Saturday at 11 am, the acting president of Bangladesh Federal Journalists Union, Obaidur Rahman Shaheen, addressed the general meeting as the chief guest. The main speaker was Bangladesh Federal Journalists Union Secretary General Quader Gani Chowdhury.

Under the chairmanship of Kushtia Journalists Union President Abdur Razzak Bachchu and moderated by General Secretary Shamim ul Hasan Apu, BFUJ Office Secretary Abu Bakar, Kushtia Press Club President Al Mamun Sagar and local journalist leaders participated in the discussion.

BFUJ Secretary General Quader Gani Chowdhury said that the biggest asset of the media is objectivity. Therefore, journalists have to practice objectivity and ethics in the public interest, even for their own interests. If there is a lack of objectivity, there are obstacles in journalism and in the country. Members of the Journalists Union and representatives of various media outlets participated in the general meeting.
