International Peace Day celebrated in Sreemangal

International Peace Day was celebrated in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. On Sunday (September 21) at 11 am, the peace march started from in front of the College Road Sreemangal Press Club and ended at Chowmuhani via College Road. Later, the human chain organized by the organization’s advisor and Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee (ACC) President, senior journalist Syed Nesar Ahmed, spoke as the chief guest in the human chain organized in support of The Hunger Project Bangladesh and initiated by Peace Facilitator Group (PFG) Sreemangal demanding peace worldwide. Moderated by the organization’s coordinator, journalist Syed Sayed Ahmed, PFG Ambassador BNP leader Md. Shamim Ahmed, Md. Anwarul Islam, Maulana MA Rahim Nomani, Mirzapur Union Parishad Chairman Mislu Ahmed Chowdhury, Faria President Debabrata Dutta Habul, Sachet Nagorik Committee (SNAK) member Nitesh Sutradhar and Sreemangal Referee Association President Sajal Dev were among those present at the event. Also present at the event were PFG advisor and former Upazila Women Vice Chairman Helena Chowdhury, former ambassador and SNAK member Kazi Asma Akhter, ambassador teacher Nafiza Tabassum Fariham, journalist Jhalak Dutta, teachers and students, members of organizations and people from different classes and professions. “Take action now, build a peaceful world” is the slogan of the International Day of Peace 2025.
