1 killed, 2 injured in fierce clash in Hossainpur
One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a fierce clash in Uttar Gobindapur village of Gobindapur union of Hossainpur upazila of the district on Monday due to a previous enmity. The two injured are admitted to the ICU at Mymensingh Medical College.
On the day of the incident, at approximately 6 pm, due to a previous dispute, a fierce terrorist group led by Mohammad Mojibur Rahman, Manju Mia, Ataur Rahman Borhan Mia, Yasin, Survey Mia Renu Mia, Al Amin Mia, Mamun Mia attacked air travel businessman Masud Rana and his younger brother Mizanur Rahman Sharif and niece Ujjal Mia with the intention of killing them. The seriously injured Mizanur Rahman Sharif died on the way to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital, and the seriously injured Ujjal Mia and Masud Mia were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
They were admitted to the ICU due to their poor condition. The incident is extremely tense in the area. Eyewitness Humayun Ahmed said that Md. Mujibur Rahman is a terrorist who often carries out various types of terrorist activities in the area with his gang. On the day of the incident, he and his gang hit Mizanur Rahman Sharif in the chest with a country-made weapon with the intention of killing him. Later, the locals rescued them and took them to the hospital.
Officer-in-charge of Hossainpur Police Station Md. Maruf Hossain said that no complaint has been received in the incident yet, but an operation is underway to arrest the accused. Additional police have been deployed to control the law and order situation.
