A meeting was held in Netrakona with newly appointed District Commissioner Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman and journalists from print and electronic media working in the district. The meeting was organized by the district administration at 4 pm on Monday in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rafiquzzaman presided over the meeting. Local Government Department Deputy Director Md. Ariful Islam Sardar, Netrokona Press Club General Secretary M. Kibria Chowdhury Helim and journalists from various print and electronic media of the district were present at the time. In his speech as the chief guest, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman said, ‘Netrokona is my first place of work as an administrative cadre, so I have some familiarity with this district from before. I expect the cooperation of the journalist community for the overall development of the district.
