Calling on leaders and workers to go door to door and seek votes for the paddy sheaf, Salahuddin Ahmed said that democracy is not in the DNA of the Awami League. Sheikh Hasina is desperate to prove that she is an Indian. The Awami League has proven through its own destruction through its collapse that it was not a political force in this country. He also said that the Awami League was a mafia force, the Awami League was a terrorist group, and the Awami League was a fascist group. He said that if he spoke against the Awami League, he would be called a traitor. If anyone spoke out against it, they would have him arrested under the Cyber Security Act. They stopped the right to speak, stopped the freedom of the press. Democratic practices must continue to prevent the rise of another fascist like Sheikh Hasina. BNP standing committee member and former MP and former minister Salahuddin Ahmed made these remarks while delivering the chief guest speech at the Chakaria Upazila BNP biennial conference held at Chakaria Government College grounds in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
