Army has arrested 3 terrorists from the Kadhurkhil area of Boalkhali. Various domestic equipment, including weapons, were recovered during this time. They were arrested in a raid conducted by the army from Kadhurkhil Union early on Thursday (August 21). Lieutenant Colonel Salahuddin Al Mamun, Commanding Officer of the Ad Hoc 48 Air Defense Regiment, confirmed this information. The arrested are Md. Zakir Hossain (72), son of Ahmad Mia, Md. Arman Hossain Zishan (28), son of Md. Zakir Hossain, and Jubaid Hossain Rabbi (17), son of Gias Uddin, of the Kadhurkhil area of the upazila. According to sources at the Boalkhali Army Camp, a special operation was conducted in Kadhurkhil Union of the upazila based on confidential information from local sources under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Salahuddin Al Mamun, PSC, G+, Commanding Officer of the Ad Hoc 48 Air Defense Regiment. Three terrorist yaba sellers were arrested in the operation along with 2 country-made pistols, 3 country-made weapons, 2 hand sticks and 3 mobile phones. Commanding Officer of the Defense Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Salahuddin Al Mamun, said that these terrorists had been harassing and threatening ordinary people in the area in various ways for several days, as a result of which the ordinary people had become frightened. In addition, they had been selling Yaba in the area for a long time, as a result of which the youth of these areas were becoming addicted to the drug day by day. He also said that the accused, along with the seized goods, was handed over to the Boalkhali Police Station in a healthy condition for further legal proceedings.
