Workshop on automated land service system held in Joypurhat

A workshop on data entry and correction in the automated land service system was held in Joypurhat. The workshop, organized by UNDP Bangladesh and the Land Management Automation Project and in collaboration with the district administration was held. Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury presided over the workshop.
The workshop held at the conference room on Thursday at 11 am of District Commissioner was addressed, among others, by UNDP Bangladesh’s Advocacy and Gov: Liaison Support Technical Coordinator Ardhendu Shekhar Roy, UNDP’s Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst Amanullah Bin Mahmud, Project Coordinator Sohel Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohd. Sabur Ali, RDC Mizanur Rahman, Joypurhat Press Club President Abu Bakar Siddique, General Secretary Masud Rana and other participants.
District administration officials, all upazila Nirbahi Officers, assistant commissioner (Land), district deputy assistant land officers and heads of various government and private institutions participated in the workshop. It was informed in the meeting that various activities related to data entry and correction in the automated land service system will be started in eight districts across the country as a pilot project. Under that project, this activity will be started in Joypurhat district for 3 months. Once this service is launched, all the information about landowners will be entered online. It is hoped that this will greatly reduce the complexity of land in future.
