RAB has arrested two drug dealers with 20 kg 800 grams (about 21 kg) of marijuana in an anti-drug operation from Bhatiapara area of Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj. On Tuesday (August 19) afternoon, a special team of RAB-10 Faridpur led by Squadron Leader Md. Tariqul Islam conducted the operation based on secret information. A Dola Paribahan bus bound for Pirojpur from Dhaka was intercepted from Faridpur area and stopped at Bhatiapara intersection in Kashiani upazila. Later, the bus was searched and two drug dealers named Monir (55) and Wasim Siddiqui (48) were arrested and 20 kg 800 grams of ganja were seized from them. The two arrested people live in Dhaka. The arrested accused have been taken to Bhatiapara RAB-6 camp and legal action against them is under process.
