Zakir Hossain, a buyer of the fish, said that such a large hilsa is rarely available now. I think I can sell the fish at a good price, so I do not know how much money can be made.
The weight of the fish is 1 kg 820 grams. At the auction, he purchased a total of Tk 6000 and a total of 3,000 hilsa auction, including commissions.
Local buyer Aslam Hossain lamented that buying hilsa at a rate of Tk 6,000 kg is not possible for low -income people like us. In the past, at least once a month, I used to buy big hilsa in the house, it is becoming impossible day by day because of not fishing fish in the river.
Mirzaganj Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer. Mahfuzur Rahman said that this is the benefit of the ban. There are such big hilsa in the deep sea. Fat, vitamins are high in large ally, which are beneficial for heart problems, eye problems and brain. The big hilsa is not available as before. There are several reasons such as small hilsa extraction, water flow reduce, dam and sluice gate, illegal mesh use, water pollution and climate change are also decreasing. However, the fisheries department is making the best efforts to increase the production of fish.
