A discussion meeting titled “What we should do after the July Uprising” was held at the Gopalganj District Branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Advocate Md. Ajmal Hossain Sardar, a former successful Ameer and current central unit member who served as the Ameer of Gopalganj District Jamaat-e-Islami for 26 consecutive years and nominated candidate of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for Gopalganj-2 constituency, was present as the chief guest at the discussion held at the conference room of Gopalganj SK Alia Madrasa on Friday (August 8) at 5:30 pm. A large number of leaders including Gopalganj District Jamaat Secretary Al Masud Khan, Gopalganj SK Alia Madrasa Principal Dr. Abu Sayeed Md. Abdullah and Vice Principal Maulana Mahbubur Rahman were present at the discussion titled “What we should do after the July Uprising” held under the chairmanship of Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Gopalganj District Jamaat Ameer Professor Rezaul Karim. Chief guest of the event, Adv. Md. Ajmal Hossain Sardar, said in his speech, “The July Uprising was a bold declaration of standing against injustice. God willing, we will move forward on that path—in the light of justice, development, and faith.” At that time, leaders of various upazila, municipality and union committees, including the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Gopalganj district branch, and media workers working in various print and electronic media in the district were present.
