Joint operation by RAB and police in Jamalpur, 30 drivers fined

A case has been filed against 30 drivers with a fine of Tk 112,000 in a joint operation by RAB-14 and the District Traffic Police to ensure road safety in Jamalpur. The checkpoint operation was conducted at the old bypass intersection of the Jamalpur-Madhupur Highway from 11 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday (July 31).
According to RAB sources, during the operation, the necessary documents of the vehicles, the drivers’ valid driving licenses, the vehicle’s fitness, route permits, and the use of helmets and seatbelts are verified. In these cases, 30 drivers were fined and charged with violating the law. A fine of 1 lakh 12 thousand taka was collected from 30 people. The operation was conducted by Additional Superintendent of Police ATM Aminul Islam, Company Commander of Jamalpur Camp of RAB-14. Traffic Police Inspector Md. Jahangir Alam assisted during the operation. According to sources from RAB-14, CPC-1, Jamalpur Camp, RAB is regularly conducting such operations to restore order on the country’s roads and highways and prevent accidents. Such campaigns will continue to ensure that the general public can travel safely and in an orderly manner.
