The National Citizens Party (NCP)’s July march was held at the Collector’s Field in Netrokona on Sunday. At the event, the organization’s chief coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwari made negative comments about the shipment of 10 trucks of weapons involving former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar during the BNP government. In protest of Nasir Uddin Patwari’s comments, leaders and activists of the Upazila BNP and the Municipal BNP and its affiliated organizations immediately held a protest rally in front of the Upazila Public Hall in Madan, Lutfuzzaman Babar’s own upazila, on Sunday afternoon. In the afternoon, the leaders and activists gathered at the BNP party office in Jahangirpur Center area of Madan Municipality. Later, the protest procession left the party office and circled the main roads of the municipal headquarters. Upazila BNP President Nurul Alam Talukder, General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Akand, Municipal BNP President Kamruzzaman Chandan, General Secretary Abdul Qadir, Upazila Jubo Dal President Golam Russell, General Secretary Humayun Kabir, Municipal Jubo Dal President Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, Municipal Chhatra Dal convener Mahmudur Rahman, among others, addressed the rally in front of the public hall in the Upazila Parishad area.
