Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party (BNP) has organized a leaflet distribution program in Rupganj, Narayanganj, to implement the 31-point national outline announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman. Former Joint General Secretary of the BNP’s central committee, Mohammad Dulal Hossain, distributed the leaflets in the Baitul Aqsa Jame Masjid area of Gandharbapur Madhyapara, Rupganj upazila, after Friday prayers on Friday (July 25).
Local common people, devotees and leaders and activists of BNP-Yubdal and allied organizations were present at the time. Dulal Hossain spoke to the common people while distributing leaflets and informed them about BNP’s 31-point program.
He said, “For the past 17 years, the people of this country have been held hostage by one-party rule and fascism. People’s freedom of speech, democracy, and voting rights were taken away. But through the 2024 mass uprising, the people have been able to reclaim their rights. Now is the time to restore people’s voting rights and establish a truly democratic government.”
He further said, “Tarique Rahman’s 31-point guidelines for the reconstruction of the country. These points outline economic recovery, independence of the judiciary, human rights, corruption-free administration and freedom of the media. Everyone must come forward unitedly for this purpose.”
Local Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal leaders also participated in the leaflet distribution. They assured the general public on behalf of BNP that they are politically ready and will stand by the people to take the country forward on the right path.
The locals said that they have been victims of oppression and torture for a long time. They are hoping for the establishment of a truly democratic government and the restoration of civil rights. They expressed hope that people will become more aware through such leaflet distribution activities.
Incidentally, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman announced a 31-point program at the beginning of this year, which highlighted the goals of state reform and the restoration of people’s rights.
