After 11 long years, the biennial conference of the BNP in Kalmakanda Upazila of the district was held in a festive atmosphere. Kalmakanda Upazila BNP organized this conference on Saturday (July 12) at 11 am at the Kalmakanda Multipurpose Auditorium Hall Room. The conference was inaugurated by Netrokona District BNP convener and eminent orthopedic physician Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque, chaired by Kalmakanda Upazila BNP convener MA Khair and moderated by District BNP joint convener SM Moniruzzaman Dudur. Central BNP Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel spoke as the chief guest. The special guest speaker was Md. Shariful Alam, the Mymensingh Divisional Organizing Secretary of the Executive Committee. Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Legal Affairs Secretary of the BNP Central Committee and Secretary General of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum, delivered the keynote address. BNP National Executive Committee Mymensingh Division Co-Organizing Secretary Advocate Shah Wares Ali Mamun, Co-Organizing Secretary Abu Wahab Akand, District BNP Member Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Hilali spoke as special guests. Among others, the conference was addressed by District BNP Senior Joint Convener Advocate Mahfuzul Haque, District BNP Joint Convener Mojibur Rahman Khan, Tajezul Islam Faras Sujat, Bazlur Rahman Pathan, Kalmakanda Upazila BNP Joint Convener Anisur Rahman Pathan Babul, Advocate Sirajul Islam Khokon, and others. In the second phase of the conference, the names of veteran leader MA Khair and Lengura Union Parishad Chairman Md. Saidur Rahman Bhuiyan were unanimously announced as the president of Kalmakanda Upazila BNP and the general secretary, respectively.
