Workshop on Introduction to Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program Project held in Gopalganj

A workshop titled “Role of Temple-Based Children and Mass Education Program Project in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Promoting Moral Education” – 2025 was held in Gopalganj. Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the day-long workshop held at the conference room of Gopalganj Municipality on Wednesday (May 14) morning.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Golam Kabir presided over the workshop, which was attended by special guests, including Gopalganj Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Gopalganj Local Government Department and Gopalganj Municipal Administrator Bishwajit Kumar Pal, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Amit Debnath, Trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Milton Vaidya, and District Primary Education Officer Md. Josna Khatun.

The speakers urged the teachers of the temple-based children’s and mass education program project to be more focused on providing moral education to children, just like their parents, in addition to academic education. Also present at the day-long workshop were teachers and guardians of 233 temple-based educational institutions teaching more than 7,000 children and students in 5 upazilas of Gopalganj, other officials of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, and media personnel working in various electronic and print media in the district.
