Billal Hossain Sarkar, the acting chairman of Putia Union Parishad, held a press conference to protest various misinformation on social media and the human chain formed in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office by outsiders. The press conference was held at the Putia Union Parishad office on Tuesday (May 13) morning.

In a written statement at the press conference, Billal Hossain Sarkar said, “False, rumors and misleading information have been deliberately spread against me. In addition, some outsiders have formed a human chain in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office without any participation of the local people. I believe that this propaganda and human chain have been made in a conspiracy to tarnish my personal and administrative reputation. I strongly condemn and protest against such baseless and fabricated propaganda and demand that the administration find the culprits and take appropriate legal action.” All members of the Union Parishad were present at the press conference. In addition, dignitaries from different areas of this union were present.
