With the theme “In the red-green Bangladesh, let children’s lives blossom with joy,” the 73rd founding anniversary of Khelaghar was celebrated in Sunamganj through various programs.

On this occasion, a rally under the banner of “Ananda Ayojon” (Joyful Celebration) was held on Friday morning, starting from the premises of the Shaheed Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library. The rally paraded through different streets of the town and concluded at the auditorium of the same library, where a discussion meeting took place.

The discussion was presided over by Sunamganj District Khelaghar President Bijon Sen Roy and conducted by General Secretary Raju Ahmed. Among the speakers were former municipal councilor Koli Talukdar Arti, teacher Kaniz Sultana, General Secretary of the Shaheed Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library Advocate Khalil Rahman, Executive Director of SUJAN Nirmal Bhattacharya, Organizational Secretary Haidar Ali, editorial board member Lecturer Dulal Mia, Anwarul Haque, and member Rajib Deb, among others.

The event was attended by members of various Khelaghar units from Sunamganj district, well-wishers, child learners, and their guardians. The audience was mesmerized by songs performed by Khelaghar children and organizers during the joyful celebration. The event concluded with the cutting of a cake and sharing of sweets amidst an atmosphere filled with Khelaghar songs and slogans.
