In recognition of his contribution to maintaining law and order with honesty and integrity at work and exemplary and commendable good work, Shibpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Afzal Hossain received the second highest police award ‘IGP’s Exemplary Good Services Badge’ this year.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Baharul Alam presented him with this badge at the parade ground of Rajarbagh Police Lines during Police Week on Thursday (May 01) morning.

In recognition of various good works, besides performing duties with honesty and integrity at work, the police officers and members nominated for the IGP badge are given this medal every year during Police Week.

It is known that OC Afzal Hossain has been awarded the Police Force Exemplary Good Service Badge (IGP Badge) four times since joining the Bangladesh Police Force on February 22, 2006, until 2024.
