A colorful procession and discussion meeting was held in Kumarkhali, Kushtia, on the occasion of the celebration of National Disaster Preparedness Day 2025 with the theme “Prevention of Disasters, Saving Lives and Saving Lives”. On Monday (March 10), at 12:00 noon, organized by the Upazila Administration and implemented by the Disaster Management Department, Disaster Management and Ministry, the procession started from the Upazila Parishad premises and ended at the entrance of the Upazila Executive Officer’s office. After the procession, Upazila Nibarhi Officer (UNO) SM Mikhail Islam presided over the discussion meeting, and Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Shorab Hossain delivered a welcome speech. At that time, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Abu Raihan, Women Affairs Officer Ferdous Nazneen, Fire Service Station Officer (Acting) Md. Ishaque ALi Biswas, Accounts Officer Md. Shamsul Huda, Cooperative Officer, Statistics Officer and officers and employees of all departments of the Upazila Parishad were present.
