Like every year, the Mithali Open Badminton Tournament-2025, initiated by the traditional Mitali Club of Netrakona, began on January 24 at the Mudhumachi Kanchi Kacha Vidyaniketan premises in Muktarpara of the city.

The tournament was inaugurated on the first day with a match between two teams, Kal Baishakhi Academy (1) and Rising Star (2). Singles, Giant, Men, Open, Men, Singles Boys, Giant Boys, Singles 45+, 55+ and Girls teams will also participate in the tournament.

The tournament committee has informed that the semi-final matches will be held till February 8. Leaders of various levels of the Mithali Sangha, players and dignitaries of the area were present at the opening match. The matches of this tournament start every evening.
