Kerat and islamic music competition in Joypurhat

For the first time, a Kerat and Islamic music competition was held at the local Shaheed Dr. Abul Kashem Maidan on Wednesday at the initiative of Joypurhat District United Workers Federation. Principals and superintendents of various madrasas and orphanages in the district participated in the program along with students of their respective institutions. A large number of competitors participated in it. The presence of leaders and members of all labor organizations in the district increased the enthusiasm of the competitors. After the evening, the chief guest and Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury and guests distributed prizes among the winners. Cash, winter clothes and books were distributed as prizes. The organization’s acting president Golam Mortuza Shiplu presided over the event, while additional superintendent of police AKM Mamun Khan Chishti, district BNP convener Golzar Hossain and senior joint convener Masud Rana Pradhan, district Sramik Dal President Babul Karim and other leaders of labor organizations spoke as special guests. Tafsirul Quran and Waz Mahfil were held in the second phase.
