Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Solaiman Sheikh visited churches and exchanged views with Christians on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas.
On Sunday afternoon, a meeting was held at the Children of Light Church in Maliat village of Sadki Union in Kumarkhali Upazila of Kushtia with the bishop, pastor, president, general secretary and other members on the occasion of celebrating Christmas in a healthy way.
Rev. Zaker Ali Shuva, Bishop of Children of Light Church and General Secretary of Bangladesh Christian Association Kushtia District Branch, presided over the meeting. Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Solaiman Sheikh was the chief guest. After the exchange of views, he visited the church and exchanged greetings with the Christians.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) said, “Multiple police teams are working to ensure that the Christmas celebrations are uninterrupted. The police are determined to provide the best service. All kinds of preparations have been made by the police so that the Christians can celebrate Christmas in a festive atmosphere. At this time, the Kumarkhali Police Station handed over leaflets of the 999 emergency help line number and took measures to put them on the walls of the church. The bishops, pastors and leaders of various levels of the church were present at the time.
