To bring notorious criminals under the law, KMP has continued to conduct raids one after another to arrest notorious accused including armed terrorists, juvenile gangs, gold smugglers, drug dealers, and others involved in various murders. In continuation of this, on the evening of December 19, based on secret information, a smart operation team of KMP’s Sonadanga Model Police Station came to know that an illegal armed person was staying in the playground of C&B Colony of Sonadanga Model Police Station in the city to carry out terrorist activities. Immediately, the police went there and saw Haddi Sagar. At that time, seeing the presence of the police, he pointed the pistol he had at the police and tried to run away. Then, the operation team led by SI Chouks Officer Sumon Mondal of Sonadanga Model Police Station of the city was able to successfully arrest the city’s top terrorist Sagar Biswas alias Haddi Sagar alias Belal Hossain red-handed along with arms and ammunition. After the arrest of the said top terrorist Sagar, 1 magazine filled with 3 rounds of bullets and 1 foreign pistol were recovered from his custody from the scene. It is worth mentioning that the infamous Haddi Sagar is the 3rd top terrorist arrested in the list of 12 terrorists who created terror in Khulna metropolis. A reward was recently announced by the Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner for his arrest. After the arrest of Khulna’s notorious terrorist Haddi Sagar, a press briefing was held at Sonadanga Model Police Station of KMP on Friday afternoon.

At this time, Khulna Metropolitan Police Deputy Police Commissioner (South) Moniruzzaman (Mithu) said in a press briefing, “We have been able to arrest top terrorist Haddi Sagar along with arms and ammunition. We are closely interrogating him to find out whether he has committed any criminal incident with illegal weapons in the recent past: the source of the illegal firearms, where the recovered weapons were used in terrorist activities, whether he had any plans to use them anywhere, and whether anyone else is involved in the purchase and sale of the said firearms. After uncovering the main mystery of all these issues, we will arrest all his associates and recover more illegal weapons. After arresting top terrorist “Haddi Sagar”, on December 20, a case was registered against him at Sonadanga Model Police Station under Section 20 of the Arms Act, Section 19 of the Arms Act of 1878.
