Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami could not hold any meeting properly for 17 years during the tenure of Sheikh Hasina, the head of the dictatorial, autocratic, fascist Awami government. After the fall of the tyrannical government in the anti-discrimination student movement, a Jamaat-e-Islami workers’ and students’ meeting and office have been inaugurated in Samantapur area of Ward No. 29 of Gazipur metropolis with the aim of implementing worker rallies across the country under the direction of the central Jamaat.
The meeting was organized by the leaders of Gazipur Sadar Metro Police Station Ward No. 29 Jamaat adjacent to Samantapur Central Jamaat Mosque on the morning of December 20 (Friday). Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Muhammad Jamal Uddin spoke as the chief guest.
Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Nayebe Amir of Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Khairul Hasan, former president of Central Islami Chhatra Shibir and Amir of Gazipur Sadar Metro-Thana Jamaat Salahuddin Ayubi, Nayebe Amir of Gazipur Sadar-Metro Thana Jamaat Shadequzzaman Khan, former councilor Khairul Alam, former organizing secretary of Gazipur Sadar Metro-Thana BNP Mamunur Rashid, Ward 29 BNP president Dr. Motizul Haque, local madrasa and orphanage vice-president Al-Amin, Keramat Ali spoke as special guests at the meeting.
Gazipur Sadar Metro Police Station Jamaat Naib-e-Amir Md. Jalal Uddin, Gazipur Sadar Metro Police Station Jamaat Secretary Md. Rabiul Haque and others were present at the meeting.
