54th Great Victory Day was celebrated with due dignity at Boalkhali Press Club.

On Monday (December 16) at ten o’clock in the morning at the central memorial of Boalkhali upazila, the press club leaders paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs by placing floral wreaths and observing a minute’s silence.
Boalkhali Press Club President Sirajul Islam, Past President Manjur Alam, Adhir Barua, Senior Vice President Advocate Salim Chowdhury, General Secretary Yachin Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary, Syed Md Nazrul Islam, Finance Secretary Prabhas Chakraborty, Office Secretary Naeem Uddin, Publicity were present. Editor Zahid Hasan, members Khorshed Alam, Shah Alam Bablu, Khorshedul Alam etc.

After paying tribute, the leaders said, the great liberation war has taught us harmony. We must move forward through harmony. The glorious day of our freedom struggle is 16th December. The goal of establishing independent Bangladesh was achieved through victory. Bangladesh stands tall in the world. Victory gave us an opportunity to serve the country. We have to build a golden Bangladesh unitedly inspired by the national spirit.
