Spirit of the great victory of 1971 and the revolution of August 5, 2024, the Chittagong Press Club organized a great Victory Day discussion and cultural program. On Monday (December 16), at 12 noon, the discussion meeting was held at the VIP lounge of the Chittagong Press Club under the chairmanship of the club’s management committee member secretary Jahidul Karim Kochi. The program was moderated by club member Shahnewaz Riton.

President of the Chittagong Metropolitan Journalists Union and BSS Chittagong Bureau Chief Mohammad Shahnawaz and General Secretary Saleh Noman spoke as guests. Press Club Management Committee members Mustafa Naeem and Golam Maula Murad spoke.
At that time, the speakers said that after the victory in the great liberation war fought in 1971 with the aim of establishing equality, human dignity and social justice, the ruling class adopted the character of West Pakistan. But the fate of the people of this country did not change. We are all working towards building a beautiful Bangladesh through the 2024 revolution. He strongly demanded that those who took a stand against the student masses in this revolution be brought to justice.

The program was also addressed by freedom fighter and veteran journalist Moinuddin Quaderi Shawkat, former library editor of the Press Club Md. Shahidul Islam, sports editor of Dainik Purbadesh Saifullah Chowdhury, Wahid Zaman Mintu, BSS special correspondent Mia Arif, student coordinator Chowdhury Siam and other journalists.

After the discussion, a pleasant cultural program was held with the performances of prominent artists of Chittagong.
