Rokeya Day was celebrated at Shivram Adarsh Public School, Lalmonirhat. On Monday, December 9 evening, on the occasion of the noble woman Begum Rokeya Day, the pioneer of women’s awakening, a felicitation ceremony, meritorious assembly, distribution of awards, awarding of certificates to the scholarship students and a cultural program of dancing and singing were held by the young students. Former upazila chairman of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Parishad and joint general secretary of Lalmonirhat district BNP AKM Mominul Haque were present as the chief guest in the felicitation ceremony presided over by the president of the school Aminur Islam. Advocate Anjuman Ara Shapla, former female vice chairman of the upazila, was also present at the time. Scholarship certificates were awarded to 78 scholarship recipients of Shivram Adarsh Public School. At the end of Gunijan’s felicitation ceremony, a wonderful cultural program was organized by the young students of Shivram Adarsh Public School.
