Gold worth 7 million taka recovered from Chittagong Airport, 2 people including actress arrested

733 grams of gold ornaments, including bangles, chains and white gold chains, have been seized from two passengers arriving from Dubai at the Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport.
Shah Amanat International Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil confirmed this information on Saturday (December 7) afternoon.
The detainees are – Anamika Juthi of Mirpur, Dhaka and Mohammad Raihan Iqbal, a resident of Raozan Upazila, Chittagong.
The airport’s public relations officer said that they arrived at the Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport from Dubai in the morning on the BG 148 flight of Bangladesh Biman on the Dubai-Chittagong-Dhaka route. Based on secret information at 9:50 am, the intelligence agency NSI Chittagong Airport Team and Customs Intelligence jointly entered the plane, searched the two passengers and recovered the gold ornaments from them. The price of which is 68 lakh 96 thousand 462 taka.
