Interim government’s Labor and Employment Ministry Advisor Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain said that the capacity of Bangladeshi workers in shipbuilding has increased a lot. Now the government is working to ensure safety in the workplace of workers in this sector.
He said these things while visiting the Three-Angle Marine Shipyard located in Nayanagar village of the upazila at around 12 noon on Saturday (November 30).
Three-Angle Shipyard Managing Director Engineer Aminul Islam said, I will start delivering the vessels from March next year. 6 ferries, 2 fire fighting tugboats, 2 coastal oil tankers, 4 Kestrel C-trucks, 3 modern inland passenger vessels and 1 inspection boat will be handed over in phases in nine months.
