Sohag Mahamud Soikat, Manpura (Bhola)

An exchange meeting was held in Bhola Manpura on the implementation of the Fisheries Protection and Conservation Act to protect pangas fry. This meeting was organized under the initiative of Upazila Fisheries Office.

This discussion meeting was held at Ramnewaz Fish Ghat of Manpura Union No. 1 of the upazila on Monday (November 18) at 4 pm.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Pathan Md. Saiduzzaman, Molla Emdadullah, Director of Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project of Bangladesh Fisheries Department, was present as the chief guest in the meeting.

Special guests were Manpura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ahsan Kabir, Manpura Coast Guard Contingent Commander Md. Moksedul Islam, Bangladesh Fisheries Directorate Senior Assistant Director of Hilsa Resources Development and Management Project Md. Farid Hossain, Bhola Fisheries Office Assistant Officer Md. Mahabubur Rahman.

Upazila Fisheries Officer Srijan Sarkar gave a welcome speech at the meeting.

Md. Monir Hossain Field Assistant Upazila Fisheries Office moderated the meeting.
Also present in the meeting were prominent social worker and fishmonger Zobair Hasan Rajib Chowdhury, public representative Md. Lokman Hossain member, fishmonger Saiful Patwari along with various fishmongers of Ramnewaz Fish Ghat, boatmen and fishermen were present.
