Reform Commission formed to build efficient and impartial public administration- Commission member

A meeting of members of the Public Administration Reform Commission with representatives of civil society was held on Monday morning, November 18, at the Agriculture Conference Room of Rupsha Upazila, Khulna. During this time, members of the commission, Dr. Mohammad Ayub Mia, Md. Hafizur Rahman, Firoz Ahmed and Khondaker Mohammad Aminur Rahman, listened attentively to the opinions of the people present on the issues of public administration reform. During the exchange of views, the members of the commission said that the Public Administration Reform Commission has been formed to build a people-oriented, accountable, efficient and impartial public administration. We are now going through a turning point in national life. Everyone’s right decisions will help move the nation forward. We must find a way to keep the administration away from the negative influence of politics and corruption. Through discussions with everyone, a report will be prepared on possible actions to be taken in the long, medium, and short term for public administration reform and submitted to the government. Participants in the exchange of views said that it would be easier to build a people-friendly administration if citizens were empowered. Government employees must be compassionate, pro-people, or people’s friends toward those seeking service. At the same time, the administration must be kept away from the influence of politics at all costs. It is also necessary to ensure that the political government is not run by the administration. The meeting was speech on Upazila Executive Officer Akash Kumar Kundu, Assistant Commissioner Land Apratim Kumar Chakraborty, Fisheries Officer Bapi Kumar Das, Agriculture Officer Tarun Kumar Bala, Police Station Officer-in-Charge Investigation Md. Monirul Islam, Freedom fighters, media workers, representatives of the anti-discrimination student movement, women entrepreneurs, members of marginalized and small-ethnic groups, representatives of business organizations and various religious organizations, teachers, members of civil society, cultural activists and NGO representatives participated.
