Chattogram City Mayor Shahadat, took the oath. Formation of 17 member committee.

The mayor said that the country will survive if Chattogram  survives. Assurance of making the city a green city, clean city and healthy city.

Chattogram  City Corporation (CCC) took oath as the mayor of BNP Dr. Shahadat Hossain. At the same time, a committee consisting of 17 members has been formed as there is no councillor.

AF Hasan Arif, Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Lands, administered the oath to him on Sunday (November 3) in the meeting room of the local government department in the capital Dhaka.

In the event, the adviser said that the government is not just a caretaker government, but a depository of the dead and injured who participated in the uprising. This government is not a routine caretaker government, this government was formed in a special context after the movement. So people have high expectations from the government.

He said, since there is no councilor in Chittagong, a committee of 17 members has been made who will work under the leadership of the mayor. City corporations will soon be appointed full-fledged administrators. The present mayor of Chattogram  will remain in charge until the term of office is as per the law.

The mayor said that Bangladesh will survive only if Chattogram  survives. I will work on infrastructure development of Chittagong city. I will try to take up the project to solve the waterlogging as soon as possible. I will try my best to fulfill the manifesto.
