A meeting was held to form a new committee of Fatikchari Journalists Parishad-Chittagong. It was held in a restaurant in the city under the chairmanship of veteran journalist Nirmal Chandra Das, former general secretary of Chittagong Journalists’ Union, and moderated by Saifullah Chowdhury, on Monday afternoon, September 30.

Ratan Kanti Debashish as president and Waheed Zaman as general secretary formed a committee of 21 members unanimously in the meeting. The other members of the committee are Vice-President Rashed Mahmood, Syed Tarequl Anwar and SM Iftekharul Islam, Joint Secretary Sheikh Murshedul Alam, Joint Secretary Abu Mucha Jiban, Organizing Secretary Bachchu Barua, Joint Organizing Secretary Golam Charwar, Finance Secretary Tushar Deb, Assistant Finance Secretary. Jalal Rumi, Sports Editor Saifullah Chowdhury, Cultural Editor Ahsanul Kabir Riton, Associate Cultural Editor Rani Dash, Publicity and Publication Editor Vipul Barua, Associate Publicity and Publication Editor Shyamal Nandi, Office Editor Suman Kumar Dey, Assistant Office Secretary MR Amin, Executive Member Nirmal Chandra Das, Shatadal Barua, Prabir Barua and Anuj Dev Bapu.
