Strike of Diploma-in-Engineering Surveyors in Kushtia

Diploma-in-engineering (surveying) degree surveyors in all ministries, departments, departments and agencies of the Government of Bangladesh have gone on strike demanding implementation of the 10th grade pay scale like all other diploma degree holders.
From Tuesday (01 October) morning, the surveyors working in various offices of Kushtia abandoned their regular work and observed a work-break at the office of the Deputy Commissioner under the banner of ‘Anti-discrimination Survey Diploma Engineers Chhatra-Peshajivi Odhikar Prasadhan Parishad’.

Surveyors with diploma-in-engineering (surveying) degrees from all offices in the district including Md. Zahurul Islam, Sadar Upazila Bhumi office, Sahabul Islam, Bapaubo Md. Tofail Ahmed, Md. Mintu Mia, Md. Rakibul Islam, Md. Rubel Hossain were present.
The surveyors who are on strike said that the theme of the students’ public reception, 2024, is to eliminate discrimination. Like all other diploma-in-engineering graduates, diploma-in-engineering (surveying) graduates are employed as surveyors/equivalent positions in all ministries, offices, directorates, directorates and organizations of the government. We are the “Anti-Discrimination Survey Diploma Engineers Students-Professional Rights Implementation Council” on October 1 to implement Notification No. 164 of the Ministry of Establishment dated 19 November 1994 and again issue notification from the Ministry of Public Administration and take necessary measures to raise the salary scale of employees to 10th grade/2nd class rank.
