The Railway Department has started the work of eviction of the illegal structures built on the property of the Joypurhat Railway. Paksi Divisional Land Property Officer of Railways Abdur Rahim conducted the eviction operation from 11:30 today on Wednesday.
Parbatipur Railway Divisional Engineer Birbal Mondal, Railway Assistant Executive Engineer Rakib Hasan, Joypurhat District Administration’s Senior Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahmudul Hasan, Railway Kanungos and railway police including railway security staff were present at that time.
Paksi Divisional Land Property Officer of Railway Abdur Rahim said that for a long time, some people had been doing business by illegally constructing more than half a hundred structures on the railway property in the area around the railway line of Joypurhat district town. All the illegal structures are being eviction because they have not removed the structures even after giving repeated notices earlier. He also said that this eviction operation will continue until all illegal structures are demolished and encroached upon.
