A day long opinion exchange meeting on interaction between citizens and political leaders on pre-election promises was held with the collaboration of Rupantar, a USAID backed NGO at a local community center Shopnochaya on June 13.

With Ashim Ananda Das, project coordinator in the chair, the program was addressed as moderators, among others, by professor Anwarul Kadir and Hafiz Uddin.
Local government representatives, political leaders, youth leaders, students, local elites took part on the occasion.
The question answer session was very enjoyable. Because the local representatives had to face the challenging questions.

A lot of questions were presented to the stage from the audience. Joypurhat Pourashabha Mayor Mostafizur Rahman Mostaque, Panel Mayor Iqbal Hossain Sabu, poura councilor Jannatul Ferdaus Jharna, Zilla Parishad Panel chairman Abdul Hannan Mithu and Ratna Rashid.
The meeting was also addressed, among others, by Zilla Muktijoddha commander Amzad Hossain, Zilla BNP Convenor Golger Hossain, CPB district secretary Rumjanuzzaman, senior journalist former Joypurhat pressclub secretary KM Abdur Rahman Rone, Dr Sazzadur Rahman, staff reporter of The Daily Morning Glory Nazrul Islam and senior journalist Shahabuddin Ahmed. Mayor Mostafizur Rahman addressed the concluding session.
