“CMP Inter Division” T-10″ Cricket Tournament inaugurated by CMP Commissioner.

“Police work is always tiring. We sometimes organize cultural events and sports as a means of entertainment for the policemen in the midst of this tiring duty. This tournament is organized as a part of it. Police Commissioner said these things in the opening speech.

CMP Commissioner of Police (Additional IGP) Krishna Pad Roy inaugurated Chittagong Metropolitan Police Inter-Department T-10 Cricket Tournament on Wednesday 15 May 2024. He announced the auspicious opening of this tournament at the SAF ground of Dampara Police Line today at 15:00 pm.

A total of 16 teams are participating in the CMP Inter-Divisional T-10 Cricket Tournament divided into four groups. Group-1 has Headquarters Division, SAF-1, North Division and Traffic (South) Division. Group-2 has SAF-2, SAF-3, South Division and Traffic (West) Division, Group-3 has POM-1, West Division, DB-CTSB (Joint) and Traffic (North) Division. Group-4 has POM-2, Supply-Transport (Joint), Port Division and Traffic (Port) Division. Each team will have three matches in the group stage. Two teams from each group will advance to the quarter finals. 24 matches will be held in the group stage, 4 in the quarter-finals, 2 in the semi-finals, and a total of 31 matches including the final. The final match will be held on May 26, 2024 at 3:30 PM. North Division and Sadar Division faced each other in the opening match. Headquarters Division Commander Deputy Commissioner of Police (Counter terrorism) Mohammad Liaquat Ali Khan, PSC and North Division Commander Assistant Commissioner of Police (Panchlaish) Md Arif Hossain. In the opening match, Sadar Division won the toss and decided to bat.
