Pay homage at Shaheed Minar in Kushtia at the first hour of twenty one

On the first hour of the International Mother Language Day on February 21, people from different walks of life including government, non-governmental organizations, freedom fighters, social, political, cultural organizations, journalists, NGO organizations paid their respects at the central Shaheed Minar of Collectorate square in Kushtia. On Wednesday (February 20) from 12:01 PM, people from all walks of life offered floral tributes at the Central Shaheed Minar of Collector Square adjacent to the District Commissioner’s office.
People from all walks of life flocked to the central Shaheed Minar area to pay their respects to the language martyrs. In no time, the entire altar of Shaheed Minar was filled with flowers. At this time, a minute’s silence was observed to pay respect to the memory of language martyrs. After offering the wreath, everyone present prayed for the peace of the souls of the brave language martyrs.
Meanwhile, Abdur Rauf, Member of Parliament of 78 Kushtia-4 (Khoksa-Kumarkhali) Constituency, paid tribute to Shaheed Minar in Kumarkhali first. Upazila Awami League President and Upazila Chairman Abdul Mannan Khan, Upazila Executive Officer. Mahbubul Haque, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kumarkhali, Md. Amirul Arafat and people from all walks of life were present.
