The Bangladesh Safe Food Authority fined a company named Doha Foods in Patia, Chattogram Tk 5 lakh for making sweets in an unhealthy environment and using harmful chemicals.

Bangladesh Safe Food Authority Executive Magistrate AHM Asif Bin Ikram conducted the operation at this factory in Potiya Bisik Industrial City area on Tuesday (February 20) afternoon.

He said that Doha Foods has been fined five lakh rupees for the crime of making food using chemicals harmful to the human body. During this time, about 380 kg of adulterated sweets made by them were wasted.
