Mother-daughter gang-rape: Accused confesses in court

An accused in the gang-rape case of mother-daughter in Noakhali’s Subarnachar has given a confessional statement in the court.
Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court No. 8 Amli Court Senior Judicial Magistrate Tanya Islam recorded the statement on Wednesday (February 7) afternoon.
The name of the accused is Mehraj Uddin (48). He is the son of Nurul Amin of Charwapda Union.
Charjabbar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Rafiqul Islam confirmed this information.
In a press briefing, Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Asaduzzaman said that after the rape, the gold earrings in the ears and the cash in the house were taken away while returning.
