The month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair has started in Purbachal of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj with the participation of various organizations from home and abroad.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated it at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachale on Sunday (January 21) at 12:05 PM. The fair was jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Development Bureau.
Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu, Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam among others spoke on the occasion.
Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Vice Chairman AHM Ahsan delivered the welcome speech.
After the inauguration, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited various stalls.
This time the main attraction of the fair is the Bangabandhu Pavilion. As one enters the main exhibition center, one can see the spectacular Bangabandhu Pavilion.
The entrance ticket price of this year’s fair has been fixed at 50 taka. In addition, children’s ticket price is 30 taka. The fair will be open daily from 10 am to 9 pm. However, the fair will continue till 10 pm on weekends.
The trade fair starts at the beginning of every year (January 1) but this time it got delayed due to elections. BRTC buses have been arranged for transportation to the fair.
