Nawabganj Government College day-long grand pie festival

Pie (pitha) Festival was organized for the first time by Nawabganj Government College, a traditional school of North Bengal. Chapainawabganj-3 (Sadar) Member of Parliament Abdul Odud inaugurated the festival on the ground of the college located in Chapainawabganj district town on Wednesday (January 17) morning. MP Abdul Wadud said that pitha is mixed with the traditional culture of Bengali for thousands of years. I was really impressed by the pitha festival of the college. He thinks that such arrangements should continue in the future. More than 50 types of pithas are seen in a total of 40 stalls run by teachers and students. The college ground was thronged with students and eager crowd of various institutes of Asapasha. In winter mornings in Konkan, pita made with date juice and molasses was sold in many different flavors. These pies were being sold in abundance under the leadership of the team leader of each stall. Pithas starting from 5 taka to 70 taka can be seen in the stall. Vice Principal of Nawabganj Government College. A three-member judge committee was formed under the leadership of Aminul Islam. They visited all the stalls in the college grounds and got a variety of pithas. Among them, Propose Pitha of English Department, Satin Mochar Pitha of History Department, Pie Pitha of Mathematics Department, Boat Pitha, Sundari Pati Sapat Pitha are notable. For the first time, the teachers and students of this college made more than 50 types of pitha in this pitha festival. Along with pitha, they also brought pies and milk here. Chapainawabganj Government College Principal Professor Dr. Mazharul Islam Toru was impressed with the creativity of the students and said that the students enjoyed the festival in this pitha festival organized for the first time by the college. The locals also responded to our call and came to the college and bought and ate pitha from the stall. Everyone is full of praise after eating pita with different unconventional flavors. He said, many of the new generation do not get the taste of pithapuli, we are organizing this event to introduce them to pithapuli. We will continue this in the future.
